MILO Range Firearms Diagnostic Unit (FDU)

Portable. Adaptable. Customizable.

The Range Firearms Diagnostic Unit (FDU) simultaneously captures the four key perspective of a shooter's technique to give instructors a first-person perspective in real-time.
  • Sight picture
  • Trigger control
  • Posture & Stance
  • Point of impact
MILO FDU System
The instructor can watch all components on the computer screen in real time. Upon completion, the instructor and trainee can review the shooter's technique in normal, slow and frame by frame motion. All video and trigger data are synchronized allowing the relationships between them to become clear to the trainee. For example, the video will show the front cross hair beginning to drop just before the shot (anticipation of recoil), the rising trigger pressure, and ultimately the shot which falls low on the target because of anticipation. The entire session, with instructor commentary, can be exported to video DVD for trainee review.

The Range FDU can be used with both live fire and laser training weapons.

The shooter's sight picutre is displayed in real-time to the instructor and recorded on the system, for normal and slow motion review.

Trigger Pull Trainer Trigger Analysis

FDU Interface Software

The Range FDU uses a simple Windows-based touch screen interface enabling the instructor to concentrate on the student, not the computer.

FDU Fall of Shot Point of Impact

The point of impact of the round is displayed in real-time to the instructor and recorded on the system, for normal and slow motion review.

FDU Stance Position Stance and Posture

On the portable system, the shooter's stance is also displayed in real-time to the instructor and recorded on the system, for normal and slow motion review.
